When a mirror will not open

Almost every "it will not open" problem has one of a handful of causes. Work down this list before assuming an outage.

"Cannot connect" / the page never loads

1. Request a new Tor circuit for the tab and retry.
2. Try the other mirror from the mirrors page; both share one backend.
3. Check whether ordinary Tor browsing is also slow. If it is, the network is congested; wait a minute and retry.
4. Confirm Tor Browser is up to date.

The captcha keeps reloading

Anti-DDoS challenges are session-bound. If the challenge loops, your circuit or cookies are the problem, not your answer. Get a new identity, let the page set a fresh session, and solve the challenge once. Do not open the market in multiple tabs during a challenge; that confuses the session.

The node is painfully slow

Onion latency depends on the relays in your circuit. A new circuit often gives a faster path. If one mirror is slow, switch to the other; they are independent paths to the same market.
